Form Work: Yasushi Ishida

Opening:  Thursday, 8 September, 2016
Exhibition:  8 September – 2 October, 2016

“Form Work“ is the culmination of a year-long design-research project by Yasushi Ishida as the Visiting Faculty at Woodbury University School of Architecture.

The exhibition showcases the work produced during academic year 2015 – 2016 in collaboration with the students.

The work consists of a series of experiments with flexible sheet formwork for concrete to create a variety of structures. It aims to discover novel aesthetic potentials of the flexible sheet formwork technique and aspires to invent a design process that is informed by material behavior.
